Superfood Expo: the Largest Culinary Exhibition in Yogyakarta

Bantul, - The largest culinary exhibition is coming in the next few days in Yogyakarta, precisely on May 16 to 20, 2012, held at Jogja Expo Center (JEC), located at Jl. Janti, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Indonesia. The Superfood Expo is intended to display the ingredients, typical foods and beverages, as well as cooking equipment from many areas, especially Yogyakarta. However, other areas are also not going to miss such a rare event, such as from Jakarta, Semarang, Solo, and Surabaya, to promote their products.

The Superfood Expo is an annual event initiated and supported by PT Medialink International and the Tourism Office of Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). According to Director of Operations at Medialink, Rahadi Saptata Abra, the transaction value during the previous Superfood Expo 2011 totaled more than 820 million Rupiah. Indeed, the event has become another advantage for the participants who join on the event. In addition to material benefits, they also can use it as a venue to make an impact on the promotion of expansion of business networks.

"Until now, almost 100% stands have been booked. The participants include PT Sarana Boga and PT Citra Boga (flour and bakery machinery), Artemy Gelato (Italian ice cream), Soto Grabah, PT Adipura Investama (Bee's Resto Group), Bika Ambon Larizo, restaurant “The Star” (lean lamb satay), Cowmad (ribs grilled), Sunrise, Carica (typical juice from Wonosobo), Lavena Bakery (Roti Unyil), and more," said Rahardi to on Monday (14/5). In addition, there are also some enterprises from the Department of Industry, Trade, and Cooperatives (Perindagkop) of East Java Province; PT Telkom Semarang; Petrokimia Gresik; Pertamina Persero, Semarang; Ambarrukmo Palace Tourism Academy (AMPTA), Yogyakarta; and the Academy of Social Welfare (AKS-AKK), Yogyakarta.

The Superfood Expo 2012 at JEC Building will be split into three halls, which are A, B, and C. The Hall A is a special area of ​​the franchise under the concept of "Business to Business". The concept is perfect for the potential food and beverage businesses. However, many participants have already booked the stands on the area, including BuburQu, Kebab King, Bebek Abi, CV Basfit Rafindo Galesong, Resty Bebek Goreng, and Cokro Telo Cake. Moreover, the hall will be also featured with bread-making demonstrations by PT Sarana Boga and PT Citra Boga, Fruit Carving and Flaring by AMPTA, and other cooking demonstration by other participants.
